First of all, I just wanted to say to everyone that Fall is not here yet so calm down (I know we all have a lot to be excited about though)! The official day for Fall is September 23rd so I decided to do a couple more summer posts before we jump into Fall. These pictures were taken on the Laramie Greenbelt. My kids love to throw rocks in the river; they think it is the best and is something that we have been doing a lot of this summer. The focus of this post is to let you know about an amazing designer I found. A few months ago, we went to a celebration in Laramie called Jubilee Days and I ran into this lovely lady named Rachelle. Rachelle is a fashion designer; she studied at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology and somehow ended up here in Wyoming! And I am so glad she did! She is fun, down to earth, and a truly talented person. I first fell in love with her cut off shorts that she makes so I decided to have her make me a custom pair. (I have a little embarrassing truth: I didn’t actually own any shorts that weren’t workout clothes at the time I got these, I am more of a skirt person if I am going to be dressed up.) Anyways, I am sort of obsessed with velvet details right now. It’s not really a trend that I am seeing a lot of (all the more reason to love it) and when I was going through options with Rachelle for these shorts I saw this velvet ribbon and was so excited, I mean how fun and different is it?! She did a fantastic job putting these denim shorts together and I seriously can’t wait to give her more business and work with her on different pieces. I know that you are probably not looking to buy shorts right now but they are on clearance and next summer will be here before you know it! She also makes these beautiful eco print scarves that could make you fall in love with Wyoming (You can read more about them HERE). They are amazing! For Fall, she is making darling embellished denim jackets that I will definitely have to have. She even offers her services for alterations. I could go on and on about Rachelle but I think you should just check her out and follow her on your preferred social media platform:
Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to check out Rachelle Rose Designs and look for one finale summer post next week!
